How to Turn Our Free Webinars into Ready-to-Go PD for Your Team
August 20, 2025

Every month, we host a free, live webinar packed with practical tools, strategies, and short modeling segments that you can start using immediately.
And here’s what makes these webinars even better: you can use them as ready-made professional development for your team—without having to design a single slide yourself.
Here’s a step-by-step way to make this happen.
1. Register Early—For You and Your Team
The easiest way to make these sessions work for your team is for everyone to register and attend live together. That way, your group can engage in real time, and you won’t have to carve out extra time to rewatch later.
If attending live isn’t possible for everyone, you can still make it work:
- Non-members or subscribers: Registrants get access to the replay for 30 days after the webinar airs, so you can schedule your team’s PD session within that window and use the recording.
- Bright Morning members & Learning Library subscribers: You have 365 days of access to all webinars, giving you more flexibility to plan your follow-up session.
2. Preview and Plan Your Follow-Up
If you’re the organizer, you can watch the webinar first (live or on replay) to:
- Familiarize yourself with the flow
- Identify the moments you’ll want to pause for discussion
- Decide how to frame the experience for your team
When you invite your team, root the ask in purpose. For example:
“This webinar will give us concrete strategies for [specific challenge or goal]. I’d like us to watch it together and use our follow-up meeting to decide how we’ll apply what we learn in our work.”
“We’ve been talking about [area of growth]. This session offers approaches we can use immediately. Let’s watch it as a team, then commit to one change we’ll each try in the next two weeks.”
3. Watch Together (or Set a Clear Timeline)
If watching together:
- Block the time on everyone’s calendar
- Plan a debrief immediately afterward
If watching separately:
- Set a deadline for completion within the replay window
- Schedule a discussion meeting within a few days of that deadline
4. Use the Built-In Discussion Moments
Throughout the webinar, you’ll hear reflective questions and see short modeling segments. These are ideal spots to pause and talk.
You might ask:
💭 “What did you notice in the modeling?”
💭 “How would you adapt that for our context?”
💭 “What might make this approach work—or not work—with our stakeholders?”
If your team is watching asynchronously, ask them to jot down their responses to these prompts and bring them to the follow-up meeting.
5. Turn Insights into Action
End with a clear plan for what happens next:
- “What’s one thing you’ll implement this week?”
- “How will we support each other in making this stick?”
- Document commitments in a shared space so you can revisit them later
Bottom line:
Our monthly webinars are more than just free learning—they’re a ready-made way to build shared skills, strengthen team culture, and take immediate action.
