Artful Design & Facilitation

Learn how to create adult learning spaces where participants feel seen, cared for, challenged, and excited to learn.

In this 3-day workshop, you will learn what it takes to create adult learning spaces where participants feel seen, cared for, challenged, and excited to learn. Drawing from Elena Aguilar and Lori Cohen’s book, The PD Book: 7 Habits that Transform Professional Development, you’ll learn:

  • A process to determine the purpose of your sessions
  • How to design agendas with clear outcomes and principles of adult learning in mind
  • How to facilitate intentionally
  • How to assess learning for impact.

You’ll also be guided in a deep exploration of how to respond to your own emotions when they come up while facilitating PD, how to respond to the emotions of others, and an exploration of how to navigate complex power dynamics.

Bright Morning is already generous with the free tools they provide educators and, as a member, there’s even more access. Another favorite part of my membership is that the incredible trainers actually show us how to use the tools in Elena’s books for full impact.
